It must be baseball season

Ah, the caps are on, the sound of bats hitting balls fills the air, the crowds of kids on the baseball diamonds, and a cast/splint on a Dixon kids arm.
Last year, Spencer broke his arm in the middle of baseball season. He had to have a pin inserted and was in a cast for 5 weeks. He had to give up his starting pitcher spot on the Cubs team.
This year, it's Jacob's turn. Practice has begun on his team ready for games to start next week. And Jacob is in a splint. He sprained each joint and fractured the bone in his thumb.
The doctor said to keep it splinted for 3 weeks and it should be good after that.
So, either this is the last of the broken limbs or maybe we should give up on baseball all together.
